![]() | The sixth of eight children, Ric Keeley spent 14 years as an editor and executive in the American film industry before leaving Hollywood to pursue his passion for cooking. After training at the French Culinary Institute, he took his commitment to healthy food into school cafeterias, where he both cooks and educates young people about eating for a good life. He was instrumental in teaming up Zimkids with Ross School students in the Hamptons, New York. In July he assumes his new post as the Executive Chef for the Town School in San Francisco, California. |
![]() | Julie Rojee, AGE 22, has an Associate's Degree in Early Childhood Education from Westfield State College. She met Dennis Gaboury in September 2008 when he spoke at her Alma Mater, Bishop Feehan High School. Julie was instantly inspired and decided she wanted to be a part of the ZimKids organization. Since then she has raised funds and sent packages of medical supplies such as ibuprophin, anti-histamine eye drops, bandaids, and antibacterial formula. Julie is a preschool teacher in a small town in Massachusetts. She hopes to take a trip to Zimbabwe in the near future so she can participate directly in Zimkids activities and meet the children she has helped. |
![]() | A Zimbabwean citizen, Hezvo Mpunga was raised in Harare and moved to the United States after high school. He studied computer science and audio and video production. After nine years in New Jesery, he moved to Toronto where he heads the IT department at The Real News Network. Hezvo will be working with in the development of the website. |
