Charity Ndiweni
Charity was born on the 9th of March. Her father Samson died in 2002
at the age of 54 of an HIV related illness. She has 4 older sisters and 2
younger sisters and 2 older brothers. She has four older sisters Nokuthaba,
Thubelihle, Reason, Runia and two married brothers Mncedisi and
Khulani. She lives with her mother, Nonhlanhla Mpofu and three sisters,
Sibahlenkosini, Masethulwe. Her mother sells firewood and sweets to make
money. Her mother is HIV+ and not yet on anti-retrovirals but her health is
monitored closely. She and her mother and three sisters rent one room to live
in that has no running water or electricity. They live on the very edge of the
city. Soccer is her favorite game. Red is her favorite color and her favorite
food is rice. Charity wants to be a successful soccer professional. She ranks
18th in her class of 44 students. Her 16th birthday was her best moment. Her
fatherís death was her worst moment. Beyonce an American singer is her
role model because she likes her music. Charity is healthy.
