Andile Ndlovu

Anelle was born on December 18 1996. His surname, Moyo, means ëheartí
in Shona. The meaning of his first name, Anele is ìItís enoughî in Ndebele.
His father, Mthokozisi died in 2003 of HIV/AIDS at the age of 36. He
has two older brothers, Nigel and Jerald who live in South Africa. Anele
lives with his mother, Pedita who is HIV+ and on anti-retrovirals. He also
lives with his uncle who is mentally handicapped and aunt who also lost
her husband to HIV. Everyone in the family is HIV+. The four of them
live in a 16x16 ft one-bedroom house and rent out one room for income.
Anele wants to make his mother proud by studying hard at school because
he dreams of becoming a teacher one day. His favorite actor is a local man
called Mika who is featured in a local soap called ìMakorokoza.î He finds
Mikaís character funny and interesting. Aneleís best moment was on the
Christmas day of 2009 when he spent the day dancing with his friends.
They were all happy because his mother had bought them a chicken. Anele
enjoys watching and playing soccer. His favorite color is yellow and he
loves sadza (a form of polenta that is the staple food of Zimbabwe) and
Andile was born on 30 August 2001. Her Ndebele name means 'many girls' and her Ndebele surname
means 'elephant'. Andile has been living with her mother, Sakhile, since birth. Her father, Atmos, is deceased. He
died of tuberculosis on the 30th of October 2003. Andile is the fourth born in a family of five. She has two
older brothers and one older sister. She enjoys netball, playing with mud and watching people. Her favorite
color is white and She enjoys sadza and beef. Andile wants to be a soldier when she grows up. To achieve
this she wants to pass and go for basic training. Her best moment was when she went to her rural home and
she saw many elephants. Her young brother's death in 2004 was her worst moment. A wrestler 'Umaga' is
her role model because he is a good wrestler. Andile is in relatively good health. She was diagnosed HIV+ in
February 2010 as part of our program to test all our beneficiaries.
