Bethwell Nkomo
Bethwell was born on November 27, 1999. His surname, Nkomo, means ‘cow’ in Ndebele. His father, Nefat died at the age of 42 in 2001. His mother, Sibusiso died at the age of 38 in 2003. Both died of HIV related illnesses. He has lived with his auntie Ethel Zulu since 2006 along with his older brother Artwel, a fraternal twin brother Bornwel and a grandson Junior. Bethwell has three older sisters, Thenjiwe, Thandekile and Sijabulisiwe. Bonwel is HIV+ and on anti-retrovirals. They share a 16x16 foot one-bedroom home. He enjoys playing soccer. His favorite color is red and his favorite food is rice. He doesn’t know what he wants to be when he grows. He ranks 25 out of a class of 43. His best moment was his last birthday party. There were lots of drinks and meat. His favorite singer is Lundi, a South African. Ronaldinho is his favorite soccer star. His health situation is good and stable. He tested negative for HIV in 2010.
