Douglas was born on the 18th of July 1996. His Shona surname means

with his 26 year-old aunt Nomalanga Ncube for three years. His father,
Livingston died in 2007 in his late forties. His mother Alice lives in her
rural area near Mutare, a city about 6 hours drive away. Alice is mentally
handicapped. Douglas has an older sister, Bridget and a younger half-
sister Edna. He is the second born in a family of three. Douglas, Bridget
and their aunt and uncle live in two rented rooms in a three-room house.
