Collen Makurumidze
Collen was born on 26 April 1993. His father Bernard died of HIV/AIDS in
1997 at the age of 45. He lives with his mother, Gaudencia, and his sister,
Kudzai and her two children Stanley and Chris in an 18X18 ft one-bedroom
house. He has one brother, William, who lives in Harare and two older
married sisters Lillian, Vongai. He is the youngest. Collen is an outstanding
doll maker and artist. He teaches drawing as part of his work as an Elder on
the Zimkids Council of Elders. He hopes to attend art school. Soccer is his
favorite sport. His favorite color is green and his favorite food is sadza and
meat. When he grows up Collen dreams of becoming an artist. He is 9th in a
class of 45. His best moment was New Yearís Eve of 2010 because he could
party with his friends on the Council of Elders. His worst moment was when
he is beaten for something he didnít do. His role model is Samuel Etoo, a
